"Mississippi
Moses" is the second CD for RX Blues (recorded
1998). The 14 songs represent their latest original
Blues/R&B works.
Let me start with - I liked this CD a lot! Rating 4.5
out of 5. At times it sounded like a Dr. John recording.
I particularly liked "Six String Blues", the
piano in "No Money This Time" was great. "Thunder"
had deep and sultry vocals. Finally, "Three Wive
Three Knives" and "Big Head Franklin"
were just down right fantastic blues songs. It is nice
to come across a local band whose recordings are in
perfect form, the band is tight and performing their
own material.
The
RX Blues was founded in 1992 by Surgeon/Musician Jose
Diaz.
