I
can't tell you how long I have been waiting for
the Bel Airs new album to come out. They are indeed
one of my absolute favorite bands in and around
the St. Louis area. Got Love is technically the
group's fourth album release. The first was Need
Me A Car (1984), then Dangerous Curves (1991),
next came Hoodoo Party (1999) and now the current
release. I dig the album to the fullest though
you must go see this band live and in person!!
Nothing beats it! Below is a brief description
of the new disc:
1.
I Got Love If You Want It - like this
opener; way cool sound of the shakers in the
background
2.
The Blues Is Walkin' - intriguing story
of the blues with names of Robert Johnson &
Big Mama Thornton to make this melody interesting
3.
What Kind Of Fool (Do You Think I Am)
- nice piece of music that reminds me of an
Eddie & the Cruisers song
4.
Just You and I - you just gotta dance
to this boogie
5.
Wild About You Baby - my fav on the
album; I admire the slide playing along with
the vocal harmonizing
6.
Poor Man Rich Man - nice guitar riff
& more fabulous harmonizing
7.
Going To The River - hand clappin'
beat that is my second favorite on the disc;
has a country blues sound
8.
Those Lonely, Lonely Nights - one of
my all time favs; nice slow dance tune
9.
Hi Line-horns - Magic Sam classic guitar
riff sounds
10.
How Are You Fixed For Love - slow bluesy
love tune
11.
Succotash - jazzy instrumental
