 This
is the fourteenth release from the bluesin', rockin'
band with leader Kim Wilson at the forefront.
Kim is by far one of the best harmonica players
out on the blues scene today and with the recent
addition of guitarists Nick Curran and Kirk Fletcher,
I feel this is the band that best represents the
traditional sounds of the T-birds. Kirk is a fabulous
guitarist from the west coast who has played with
legends such as Charlie Musslewhite and has his
own highly regarded album entitled "Shades
of Blue." Curran is an amazing vocalist/guitar
player originally from Texas that achieved a WC
Handy award for best new artist in 2004.

Though I enjoyed this album and consider myself
to be an avid T-Birds fan, I enjoy the solo work
of Kim more than the band efforts. In my opinion
Kim has a more bluesy tone and plays more of the
down home style that I dig. Overall, I give this
album 4.15 of 5 on the stlblues.net rating scale
