Conclusion:
While I’m not a jazz aficionado I do enjoy
good music and this is about as good as it gets.
While these guys were the hottest jazz ticket for
2008 this DVD serves well chilled as upbeat background
music and provides a musical experience best shared
with a bottle of fine wine. I found myself thinking
about the different parts and either thinking WOW
or how’d they do that? Each musician on their
own right are masters, as a group combined they
are outstanding. If you like amazing keyboard playing
note that Chick was Miles Davis piano player, you’ll
like this. For those of you in St. Louis that caught
this show, this DVD will more than make up for that
performance! This gets a 4.0 on the STLBluesometer.
