Going
Fishing is a 10-track CD. Dee had a couple of his buddies
(Johnnie Johnson and Oliver Sain) as well as others
to make this a solid sampling of this talented blues
man's work.
Both
the guitar playing and vocals are right on! I would
rate this a 4.5+ (5 is saved for the Holy Grail of Blues
CDs). Buy this CD! Better yet, buy 2 and give one to
a friend.
I
liked tracks:
1. Going Fishing - well deserved title track (also performed
at Oliver Sain Tribute)
2. Sweet Loving Baby - very R&B
3. Reconsider Baby - great electric blues guitar and
piano accompaniment
4. Back In Your Arms Again
5. Blues Jam - no vocals, I'd like 2 slices of toast
to go with that jam
6. Just One Step - this is a danceable track
7. Since I've Been Loving You - great blues track with
lots and lots of piano, very cool tune
8. Give Me Some Air - reminded me of Robert Cray
9. If You Had A Change In Mind
10. Keep On Doing What You Do - bluesy vocals, piano
swing, harmonica, organ and electric guitar - who could
ask for anything more?
Hey,
that's all ten!
Ciao'
for now, peace.
