Lil
Ed and the Blues Imperials - Full Tilt
Recorded mixed and mastered in Chicago in summer of
2008 and yet another in the terrific releases by Alligator
Records. The slide guitar player Ed Williams, aka
Lil' Ed, is continuing a family tradition as he tours
and records with his band mates of 25 years, the Blues
Imperials. Williams' uncle, Chicago blues great J.B.
Hutto, is a major influence on his career. 14 great
cuts on this great CD. This CD inspires me to coin
the expression “Chi-town Blues” as I see
it as an iconic style of blues much like Delta Blues
is iconic.
Lil’ Ed Williams on Guitar and Lead Vocals
Michael Garrett on Lead Guitar and Background Vocals
James “Pookie” Young on Bass Guitar and
Background Vocals
