Eric
Bibb – DIAMOND DAYS
{Telarc Label Released in 2006}
Another
gem has been released by “Blues/Folk Balladeer”
Eric Bibb. This man is an unbelievable talent. He
is a masterful singer, songwriter, and performer.
The latest release, “Diamond Days” has
thirteen songs, plus a film shot in the kind of
traditional guitar shop beloved by musicians, which
sees Eric playing three acoustic numbers. If you
like great songwriting and are looking for an album
with magic, mystery, soul and inspiration, this
might just fit into your collection. Buy this disc
and try something new or just check him out on the
web when you have time at:
www.ericbibb.com.
Tracks:
1. Tall Cotton
2. Destiny Blues
3. Shine On
4. So Glad
5. Storybook Hero
6. Diamond Days
7. Dr. Shine
8. Heading Home
9. In my Father's House (Live)
10. Forgiveness is gold
11. Buckets of Rain
12. Still Livin' On
Bonus Track: Worried Man Blues
My
favorite track is “Still Livin’ On”
in which Eric pays tribute to some of his heroes
Mississippi John Hurt, Rev. Gary Davis and many
more. This is a man at the top of his game who has
delivered an unbelievable product with “Diamond
Days”. I have to give this a 5 out of 5 on
my STLBluesometer. Buy this disc and try something
new.
