This
CD is chocked full of outstanding blues tracks
with guitar, soulful vocals, backing piano and
a solid bass shuffle throughout. In fact there
are sixteen songs that are all rich in the bluesy.
The Dallas-based blues guitarist, singer and
songwriter Bob Kirkpatrick has been performing
the blues for over thirty years. Its been
since 1973 when Kirkpatrick recorded prior to
Drive Across Texas. Personally, I heard bits
and pieces of a strong B.B. King influence throughout.
This CD is a great blues recording. I really
liked all the tracks. Too Much Time was great
with a bluesy fifties rock sound. Born In Louisiana
has great vocals, harp solo and quick rhythm.
Each song is really good. Cornbreads recommendation:
Get this CD and play often. If down south be
sure to plan on seeing Bob Kirkpatrick.
Bluesometer rating: 4.88
