This
Reno, Nevada based band plays an eclectic mix
of bluesy-rock-funk. Their first CD highlights
their Louisiana influence with a Jambalaya of
vocals, loud guitar playing and strong blues
rhythm section. The quartet held nothing back
for their debut, its got sixteen tracks
(all but three are originals). This CD stretches
far beyond the ranks of a traditional blues
album which makes it good fun listening as far
as Cornbread is concerned. Yesterdays
News is fairly mellow compared to the other
tracks I liked it. I also like the funked-up
bass lines done up blues throughout, especially
on 'Ditch Digger'. For one of their covers imagine
Pink Floyd performing 'I Just Want To Make Love
To You'. 'Going Down In Flames' was a good rockin
blues little ditty. If youre a traditionalist
you probably wont get into this CD, but
if you like your blues a bit more on the rock
heavy side youll enjoy the Monsters. For
