in Soulard have established a Sunday afternoon
tradition in the past few years, with their 4
to 7p jam session often turning into a "Who's
who" of local talent! After all, what blues
artist wouldn't enjoy the opportunity to sit in
with one of St. Louis' Blues Patriarch's, Mr.
Bennie
Smith?
But Bennie doesn't stop there! After his Hammerstones
gig, he takes a short break before heading to
his steady Urban Blues Express gig down at BB's
Jazz, Blues and Soups from 10-2:30a. If you've
never been, visit BB's to experience one of St.
Louis' premiere Blues venues! So take your pick,
every Sunday you'll have plenty of opportunity
to get your Bennie Smith fill!
Recently Bennie celebrated a birthday (guess which
one) surrounded by the friends and family that
comprise his loyal Hammerstones following. He
was also honored with a Mayoral Proclomation,
presented by his good friend and STLBlues
