The
2008 Big Muddy Festival kicked off with blue skies,
a great omen for any Blues festival. From 17 year
old Marquise
Knox to Anita
Rosamond, from Cryin Shame to Kenny
Neal, it was a world-class day of music. Held
in the historic Laclede's
Landing area of downtown St. Louis, with the mainstage
backdrop consisting of the Mighty Mississippi (aka
'Big Muddy') rolling south, to the trains slowing
working their way north, it conjures up a very 'Blues'
feeling. There's no better way to enjoy a great day
of music. This city's music talent ranks in the top
5 of indigenous Blues cities, and this is their annual
'don't miss' showcase!
As day 2 brings sunshine and blues skies, and the
promise of more great Blues, the crowds are gathering
early and STLBlues is on the scene! Enjoy our photo
galleries of the 2008 Big Muddy Blues Festival. Better
yet, come on down and experience the music for yourself.
Tell them STLBlues sent you!
