On March 26, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., music enthusiasts
of all levels enjoyed the sounds of eight (8) different
blues bands at BB’s Jazz, Blues and Soups.
An exciting afternoon and evening of entertainment,
STLBlues.net presented this 4th annual event that
promised to highlight your March calendar. Donations
were raised for St. Louis’ Siteman
Cancer Center and the Make-A-Wish
Foundation ® of Metro St. Louis.
In Memory of St. Louis Blues Musicians
and Shauna Beardsley Remembered
at the concert were the late Rock 'n Roll Hall of
Fame legend, Johnnie
Johnson, and St. Louis' beloved R&B Godfather,
Oliver
Sain, who courageously fought cancer.
"I dedicated this year’s event to my
wife Shauna
Beardsley, who lost her brave battle to lung
cancer in May 2005. A gifted athlete, computer tech,
model, and mother of two boys, Shauna attended night
school in pursuit of her Bachelors degree in Computer
Science. Her support came from a strong network
of family and friends, and her faith in the Lord.
After diagnosis, Shauna insisted to me, you need
to love what you do even more now. Because of her,
I've been more dedicated to this Blues website than
ever before" - Publisher
