I had never seen this band before, but I had
heard a great many things about them.
Once they took the stage it was obvious why
the rumors are true. This band totally
kicked up the heat and brought the house down!
Nick is a young guy, but his voice is very bluesy
and powerful. Gotta love the stuff from
the 50's he's doing. There wasn't one
song that the crowd didn't seem to enjoy.
 The
band--The Nightlifes--were on que and very up
tempo. Nice shuffles and Texas blues beats. If
the toes weren't tapping to these sounds, you
musta been dead! The guys were also very
gracious in signing autographs and chatting
it up with the crowd. They ended
with an instrumental encore that brought the
fans to their feet. It was a very fun
and interesting show. I am eagerly awaiting
their comeback to Beale on Broadway next month!
