Waynes latest CD release is called Let
It Loose. He is a great pianist and a nice
guy to boot. I met him a few years ago when he
did a gig at Beale on Broadway and later at BBs;
this guy gets better and better with each recording!
Ten of the thirteen tracks on the most recent
compilation were written by Wayne himself. I can
hear a lot of Johnnie Johnson's inspiration in
most of the tracks. Give it a listen and let me
know what YOU think! Other discs by this fine
artist are as follows:
1995 - "Alive and Loose"
1997 - "Blues Boss Boogie"
1999 - on Joe Louis Walker's "Silvertone
Blues" (as featured artist.)
2002 - "88th and Jump Street"
2002 - "Blues Carry Me Home"
Track Listing for Let It Loose:
1. Blackberry Wine-a traditional boogie woogie
song
2. Joogie to the Boogie-a nice swingy jazz tune
3. Wishing Well-a soulful song about lovesick
blues
4. I Never Will Forgive You-more boogie and great
guitar licks
5. Blue and Lonesome-All the way blues with nice

6. Let Me Go Home Whiskey-jazzy drinkin
blues song
7. Let It Loose-Great title track with upbeat
rockabilly feel
8. Mean Streak-nice acoustic blues with excellent

11. Lies-very soulful tune; reminded me of Robert
Cray
12. Dont Rush To Judge Me-bluesy with Llyod
Glenn & Jay McShan influences
13. Blues Carry Me Home-good and funky
I give this disc a 4.25 of 5 rating. Its
not as bluesy as I would prefer, but then again
the piano is going non stop in my house!
