STLBlues :: A Blues Music eZine

B.B. King Blues Festival

B.B. King, a legendary name in the Blues World, recently brought his talents to the Savvis Center. The Fabulous Thunderbirds began the evening's festivities, showcasing the multitalented Kim Wilson on vocals and harmonica in an outstanding rendition of 'Black Night'. Then it was on to the King! B.B. King's stage show is one of the most polished acts to ever take center stage. No wonder, as he's had lots of practice in the past 60+ years he's been performing.

Lots of crowd participation was involved in the song 'Bad Case Of Love', and a big pleasure was hearing his 1st big hit 'Three O Clock Blues'. Kenny Wayne Sheppard lent his guitar wizardry throughout the night, sitting in with both the Thunderbirds and B.B. King, to make it a even more exciting evening of music! Here's just a few pictures for your viewing pleasure!
