STLBlues 3rd Annual Concert

Over $2,000 was raised for
the Siteman Cancer Center

The 2005 STLBlues concert to benefit cancer research was a huge success. Heartfelt thanks goes out to BB's, the fans, musicians and all who helped make this happen.

The lineup was one of the best we've ever had, with lots of highlight moments. If you witnessed the interplay between Billy Peek and Johnnie Johnson during the high-intensity cover of 'Johnnie B. Goode', you know what I'm talking about. Coverage by lots of local media and several TV stations helped get the word out about our 'Concert for the Cure'.

The evening was dedicated to two very special people....Mr. Oliver Sain, and especially my sweet wife Shauna. We hope this event raised public awareness about cancer, and helped somewhat in finding a cure for this terrible disease.

Publisher's note - I launched a support site - www.ShaunaB.com - that chronicled Shauna's personal battle with cancer. Stop on by her guestbook and say a few words, if so inclined. Shauna was diagnosed in February 2004 with stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to her brain in 3 places. She so very bravely battled her cancer with radiation and chemotherapy, but I lost her to this terrible disease. She'll live on forever here with the STLBlues family, as the model for BB's Gear, and always in the memory of those who loved her.........
