"Music is a participant sport!", Bob Case exclaims to his
enthusiastic audiences. And in the tradition of other exuberant entertainers
like Chuck Berry and Louis Jordan, he always involves his fans in
his performance.
Born and raised in St. Louis, he
is very naturally and directly influenced by its rich musical heritage.
When Bob Case plays you hear the soul of rhythm and blues and the
heart of country music.
His ambition and love for music
drove him to work his way into the music world. Legendary Chicago
slide guitarist J.B. Hutto was one of Bob's biggest musical influences.
His apprenticeship of touring and recording with J.B. prepared Bob
to later form and lead his own groups.
Bob Case's audiences get more than
songs. He always peppers his repertoire with stories and anecdotes
that enlarge the music and entertain his listeners. Over the years
his material has grown to include a very personal blend of blues
and country plus standards rendered in a style that is completely
his own.
