Inner
Flame
Hailing
from central Missouri, Inner Flame's hybrid mix of 70's
era hard rock, southern rock, and Texas blues has been
favorably received by all age groups and musical tastes.
People who enjoy classic rock and blues will find the
band's music to be especially enjoyable. The band ministers
for well over 100 worship events per year and is accustomed
to performing for both religious and secular events.
Inner Flame also has the task of leading worship each
week for over 1,000 of 3rd Brigade's basic training
soldiers stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
The
name for the group was derived from Jeremiah 20:9
where the prophet Jeremiah states, "But if I
say, 'I will not mention Him or speak any more in
His name,' His word is in my heart like a fire, a
fire shut up in my bones.
I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot."
This "inner flame" is within each member
of the band and they're highly driven to minister
anywhere, anytime, and to anyone.
Inner Flame's mission is not
to preach, but to reach. This approach has opened
the door to seeing hundreds of people come to the
Lord or rededicate their lives to Him. While they
strive to be a boisterous blues/rock band, their main
intent is to bring people together through music and
provide an atmosphere where people feel comfortable
enough to meet with God in a way they never have before.
The band knows that "entertainment" doesn't
change lives, but a real and lasting relationship
with Jesus Christ does.
