Every professional musician has a “dream band”. It is made up of members who have crossed paths for years doing memorable shows after which there was a feeling unlike any other and a certainty that if the chance arose, they would work together again.

This is that band for all the members of the St. Louis Social Club.

In a community where Blues and Jazz have been in demand for generations, and discriminating audiences know the best when they hear it, the Social Club was born.
Most members have led their own bands, and all have worked together as side-men, recording, touring and performing with a who’s-who of some of the best known names in the region. The names and credits are simply too long to list here.

The band was formed at the beginning of 2002 due to a shift in the tectonic plates of the St. Louis blues scene in 2001, leaving an opening for the top players in town to work together in a line-up that could not have been possible just months before. When the calls were made and it was clear that everyone was on-board, the concensus was that this was a band that could play anything!

And play anything they will! Swing, Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Zydeco, Funk and especially BLUES!
