"Little David" Carrera is a natural born musician who calls the great city of St. Louis Missouri his home. His father, Felix "Cat" Carrera, the famed Saxophone Player and Band-Leader of the hugely popular MAMBALAYO'S, wowed crowds for years with their spicy Latin sounds at such mid-sixties hot-spots as Club Imperial, Trade Winds, Gas Light Square and others. This legacy has most certainly been passed down to his son, LITTLE DAVID.

No stranger to the St. Louis music scene himself, LITTLE DAVID has been a fixture in the Rhythm and Blues scene on both sides of the Mississippi River for over three decades. Cutting his teeth with such seminal 1970s bands as CORNERSTONE, he went on to lead the very popular R & B group NO RESPECT through its most prosperous years of the 1980s. In the 1990s LITTLE DAVID joined forces with the legendary MARCEL STRONG and the APOSTLES and effectively deepened his R & B roots even further. In the late 1990s LITTLE DAVID left the APOSTLES and formed his own band. Hitting the club scene as "LITTLE DAVID and the DISCIPLES", LITTLE DAVID firmly entrenched his reputation as one of the East Sides most formidable R & B solo perfomers.

His love and mastery of all types of music, from Soul and Blues to Rock, Country and even Jazz has enabled him to forge a sound and style that is truly all his own.
