Festival Reviews!
The Big Muddy 2001 picture gallery

Hope that you were there, on Lacledes Landing for 2 beautiful days of warm sunshine and cool blues! Some of the best of St. Louis took to the 4 stages spread out in this historic riverfront district, and some of the finest regional and national talent were invited to join them. Local legends Oliver Sain, Fontella Bass, Erskine Ogelsby, Arthur Williams and Bennie Smith, along with some of the "new blood" of St. Louis blues such as Rich McDonough, Pennsylvania Slim, Melissa Neels, and Brian Curran were on hand to showcase that truly unique St. Louis sound!

A new sound discovery (always a fun event) was the Eric Sardinas band, who simply tore the house down. A highly recommended addition to your "must see" list! And of course the tradition was there in the form of Snooky Pryor, the man who introduced the harmonica to a microphone and created that "electric harp" sound! Little Milton Campbell, Coco Montoya, Tom Hall & Leroy Pierson, the list of great acts just goes goes on & on!

Here's just a sample of the sights of the Big Muddy 2001, hope you enjoy!

Thanks goes out to all the artists, staff, and fans that help make the
Big Muddy festival a world class event.........you know who you are!

See you at the Big Muddy 2002!
