• At the end of this month, one of the best music events takes place, in one of the best Blues cities. I'm talking about the International Blues Challenge that takes place in Memphis, Tn! The largest gathering of blues bands in the world converge on Beale street for this incredible event, and several STLBlues'ers will be there helping judge the semi-finals! Phat noiZ from St. Louis is one of the bands competing, and Tripwire Blues Band out of Springfield MO. will also be there!! Don't miss this event, and tell them STLBlues sent you!

• Alvin Jett & the Phat noiZ Blues Band will be featured on the House of Blues Radio Hour with Elwood Blues (a.k.a. Dan Aykroyd) dedicated to the International Blues Challenge. The nationally syndicated program available in over 180 markets will air on the weekend of January 21 and 22, 2006. More information on the House of Blues Radio Hour can be found right here!

• Several Missouri bands will be at the International Blues Competition, bringing their style of Blues to Beale Street! Names you undoubtedly know of, or should know of! The Phat noiZ Blues band from St. Louis (nominated by the Mo. Blues Association), and Tripwire Blues Band out of Springfield MO. (nominated by the Blues Society of the Ozarks) will be showcasing their stuff to the IBC judges along Beale beginning on Jan. 26, 2006. Come for a great time and to support these hard working Bluesmen from MO!
