Taylor Young Blues Band
Taylor Young Blues Band This energetic, crowd-pleasing band features a wealth of experienced blues musicians. Individually they have worked with some of the leading bands, and at some of the best-known venues, in the St. Louis area. Now they are together in an exciting new band. The Taylor Young Blues Band delivers solid sets of blues, along with R&B favorites and original tunes.

John "Bud" Cooper

Singer with a strong, compelling sound that really moves the crowd. John has worked with various bands in the St. Louis area, including the East Side Soul Searchers, the Magnatones, Benny Smith, Blues Crushers and Original Recipe.

Bob Cummings

Guitar player, known as "Dr. B". Bob has a rich background, including singer, bass player with the Nomads in the early days. Bob entertained U.S. Armed Forces in Europe for three years, then worked with several East Coast bands. He came home to perform with various local groups, most recently as lead guitar player with Blues Attitude.

Rich Lilie

Rich puts the bottom on the band with his solid bass lines. He has been playing for over 40 years, in a variety of styles and groups, including Blues Attitude. Rich has put in a lot of hours and miles on the road, but prefers playing the blues in St. Louis.

Ferrante Douglas

He's from sweet home Chicago and now lives in St. Louis. Ferrante brings a distinctive style and winning personality to his drumming, playing with Skeet Rodgers and the Inner City Blues Band and Big George and the New Houserockers, Ronnie Guyton and Smooth Touch, Barbara Carr, among others.

Gerry Mandel

This St. Louis native hit the local blues scene in the early '80's with The Benders. He continued his keyboard work with Blues DeVille on an occasion, and then moved over to Original Recipe. In addition to handling the piano and B-3 sounds, Gerry also contributes original songs to the band.
