Click here to view all Eugene Johnson gigsEugene Johnson is a self taught musician who has been playing music for as long as he could remember. Music is a natural part of his life so much that he thought that everyone should be able to do it, but thats not true. He knew at a early age that he wanted to play music. His first exposure to music was when he saw Lynall Hampton play different instrument such as: Drums, Xzolaphone and various other instruments. He winded up chosing the bass guitar because it seemed to be natural for him to play. He also decided to sing and play at the same time. You can find Eugene in differen clubs around town mainly in a club called Beal On Broadway playing the bass and singing with a band called The Ground Floor Band. He has also recored with The Ground Floor Band. He has recorded with several international artist such as: Albert King, Oliver Sain, Members Of The Family and performed with Barbara Carr, Chuck Barry, Kim Massie, played on cruise ships and a host of others just to name a few. He has also had his own band called Eugene and Company. He has wrote and recored two of his own original songs called "Knocking Boots and One Love".
