Australia's
first Blues festival of 2010 has just announced its lineup for January
15 through 17. Next year marks the sixteenth year for the Thredbo
Blues Festival which is held across thirteen different venues over
the weekend with the artists performing in a variety of outdoor and
indoor venues. The event is organized by community organization Tourism
Thredbo which is part of the local Chamber of Commerce.
Thredbo is in Bioythe alpine area of Australia and the scenery in
the summer is spectacular. Ticket prices for the weekend include a
chairlift ticket which ferries people to the top of Mount Kosiusko,
Australia's highest point. The lineup for 2010 is The Black Schu Band,
Chris Raggatt and The Heavy Mellows, Darren Jack Band, Ray Beadle
Band, Gail Page Band, Don Hopkins and Rob Grosser, Kevin Borich Band,
Blue Murder, Bondi Cigars, Fiona Boyes, Steve Edmonds Band, Phil Edgley,
Andy Cowan Band, Brian Fraser Trio, Sugarcane Collins, Dai Pritchard
Band, Chris Mawer, Ali Penny, Phil Manning and Chase the Sun. Full
