The Uppity Blues Women will
perform their last show on November 7 at the University of Mary Washington
in Fredericksburg, Virginia. “Let me make it clear that we are
not retiring individually,” says Gaye Adegbolola. “It's
just the band that is retiring. All three of us plan to continue performing.”
The deadline for mail orders for tickets to the final show has been
extended to October 25. The sponsoring organization has received many
phone calls requesting an extension and the turn around time has been
swift.
