The 18th Annual
Pocono Blues Festival takes place this Friday through Sunday, July
24, 25, 26, 2009 at the Big Boulder Ski area in the Pocono Mountains
of northern Pennsylvania. This national Blues Festival features twenty
national acts on three stages.
Friday
night begins with a buffet and tent show featuring Paul Oscher,
James Armstrong and Eddie Turner from 8 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.
Saturday’s
artists include: James Cotton with Eddy Clearwater, Bernard Allison,
Shemekia Copeland, Trombone Shorty, and Orleans Avenue, The Bonedog
Record Revue with Tommy Brown, Git Shorty, and Stephanie Wellans,
Zac Harmon, and Melvin Taylor.
Sunday’s
acts include: Saffire – The Uppity Blues Women, Chris Thomas
King, Harrison Kennedy and Fruteland Jackson, Buckwheat Zydeco, Lil
Ed & The Blues Imperials, Ruthie Foster, Texas Johnny Brown, and
The Pittsburgh Gospel Lights. |
