One of the world’s truly living music legends will be celebrating
his 94th birthday on Monday, June 8, but having his usual Monday night
gig. But there is nothing usual about Les Paul or his Monday nights
at Iridium Jazz Club in New York City.
Les
Paul is a living legend and an icon of the music world. He was inducted
into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, received multiple Grammy Awards,
pioneered the modern electric guitar, and invented numerous recording
techniques. Paul has influenced countless musicians and guitarists
and is hailed as "The Father Of The Electric Guitar."
He also plays a bit. His trio consists of John Colianni on piano,
Lou Pallo on guitar, and Nicki Parrott on bass.
