Valentine, the legendary guitarist of The Animals with his new band
Skiffledog headlines the 13th annual Carolina Downhome Blues Festival
taking place October 1 to 3 in Camden, South Carolina, twenty-five
miles outside of Columbia, one hour from Charlotte. Performances day
and night are at 16 different venues including a pub crawl with many
venues clustered on several downtown streets, an easy walk from gig
to gig.
Valentine returns to his acoustic skiffle roots with his new group.
Hilton played guitar on "House of the Rising Sun,” “We
Gotta Get Out of This Place.” “It's My Life,” “Don't
Bring Me Down,” and other Animal classics. A member of the Rock
'n' Roll Hall of Fame, he has toured until recently with Animals founder
