This is one of the finest efforts of Blues in the Schools (BITS) we've
seen anywhere. Sent to us by our friend Hawkeye
Herman - who appears in this video - it showcases the efforts
of the Colorado Blues
Society.
Take
some time to view this video in it's entirety, and if you're involved
in a BITS program, follow up with any of the people in this program,
they're all very helpful in making a BITS work it's best magic.
Another
organziation that drives BITS is the Blue Shoe Project, ran by two
great guys, the father - son team Jeff and Mike Dyson. You may already
have heard of them, as they also produced the 2007 Grammy Award-winner
Best
Traditional Blues Album of the Year -
'Last of the Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen - Live in Dallas',
featuring Blues Legends Pinetop Perkins, Henry James Townsend,
David “Honeyboy” Edwards and Robert Lockwood, Jr.
