The East Coast Blues and Roots Music Festival held every Easter in Byron Bay, Australia will celebrate its 21st year with a new home, Tyagra Tea Tree Farm, ten minutes north of Byron Bay which is a huge site that will have camping facilities for six thousand five hundred patrons and of course accommodate thousands more day visitors.
More than two hundred performances on six stages over five days features an eclectic lineup which promoter Peter Noble promises will surpass all previous festivals for diversity and interest. The line up so far is: Jack Johnson, Donovan Frankenreiter, Ozomatli, Galactic, ALO, Matt Costa, Zee Avi, Neil Halstead, Crowded House, Buddy Guy, Roger Hodgson, Gipsy Kings, Buena Vista Social Club, Jeff Beck, Lyly Lovett, Jimmy Barnes, Jessica Mauboy, The Swell Season, Newton Faulkner, Doctor John, Bela Flecks African Project, Blue King Brown, Al Di Meola, Gogol Bordello, Fat Freddys Drop, and Joe Bonamassa.
Also on the bill are: Peter Green, The Flatlanders, Avett Brothers, Justin Townes Earle, Renee Geyer, Colin Hay, Old Crow Medicine Show, Lil Band of Gold, Brian Augers Oblivion Express, Robert Gordon Gang, The Fray, John Butler Trio, Jools Holland Orchestra, Taj Mahal, John Mayall, Angus and Julia Stons, 10cc, Bebel Gilberto, Rodriguez, Jon Cleary, Ross Wilson, The Dynamites, Josh White Jr, Patty Larkin and The Greencards.
