Bluesfest International will be held July 16-19 in Windsor, Ontario,
across the river from Detroit, Michigan. The 15th annual Bluesfest
has announced its most dynamic lineup yet.
The festival kicks off with the Grammy award-winning
Tex-Mex sounds of Los Lonely Boys. The legendary Grammy winners
and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Funk Brothers, who have played
on more #1 albums than the Beatles, Elvis, The Rolling Stones, and
the Beach Boys combined, will also headline the festival.
Rolling Stone Mick Taylor will be there,
as will The Outlaw Poet Steve Earle. Murray McLauchlan, a Canadian
Jewel and 13-time Juno award-winner, will also perform.
Closing the show Sunday is Blues Foundation
Hall of Famer and two-time Grammy winner Johnny Winter.
Supporting the headliners are Devon Allman’s
Honeytribe, David Gogo, Bill the “Sauce Boss” Wharton,
and many others.
