Hey Everyone! I just had to write
to tell you about the awesome blues week I have had--and its not
over yet! I have been going out a lot lately (too much probably)
but I have seen some great acts. Started off last week with going
to the Ameristar Casino almost every night to see the Pennsylvania
Slim Blues Band. With that place being free and close to work,
I just had to get out and see some blues. You can bet I will be
spending a lot of time there next week as well to see Anson Funderburgh
& the Rockets. The Gamble Brothers Band was at BB's tonight
(see previous post) and did a fabulous job. Tomorrow the Belairs
are in town--I can't say enough good things about those guys.
Nothing but straight toe tapping, foot stomping music to start
the weekend off right. I also ran into Eric McSpadden at BB's
and even though I didn't see him play, he is definitely my favorite
harp player in St. Louis!! I am also going to try to catch the
Blues Handle Band sometime soon since they will be playing in
St. Charles in the very near future. Okay, so know you know the
truth--I am addicted. Have a good weekend blues people!
