The
Blue Shoe Project is honoring four Blues Legends, four Arts Fellowship
Award recipients, four friends who were brought together on stage
to share their cultural experience & their music.
Jeff Dyson and Mike Dyson are the founders of the nonprofit that put
on educational programs about the blues to educate young audiences
and let them experience the blues first hand from hearing legends
to meeting young rising stars.
The album, Last of the Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen~Live in Dallas
was a project created from a passion. The Grammy nomination is just
the frosting on the cake. St. Louis native, Alonzo Townsend son of
Henry Townsend is very active with the foundation helping to keep
his father's roots, music, stories and culture alive.
I'm sure the name Marquise Knox will be one of those names that will
be a part of blues history.
