GRS
GAMES ANNOUNCES INNOVATIVE MUSIC CONTEST FOR UNSIGNED MUSICIANS
FOR FALL 2004 PS2 RELEASE!
GRS
Games, a Towson, Maryland based video game developer is pioneering
a new concept for their new $3.5 million dollar video game -
original music from unsigned bands. Slated for a Fall 2004 release,
the game will include at least a dozen music titles from new
talent. The GET IN THE GAME! Contest is offering prizes up to
$750.00 per song and is especially looking for Blues music for
inclusion in the game.
With
a 25-year history in the music industry, including a Grammy
nomination, company President Bill Mueller is the impetus for
exposing new musical talent in a video game format. "I
believe the video game is the single strongest vehicle for breaking
new music today. If you want your music heard, you have to get
it in front of the audience. Where is the audience? Playing
video games!"
The
game features a space theme complete with astronauts, each with
their favorite music. "Music is a very important aspect
of real life space travel," says Mueller. "It keeps
astronauts connected with home and evokes very emotional responses.
Every astronaut brings his or her favorite music into space
to keep that connection with life on earth. How those astronauts
react to each others music will make for lots of game
play".
