We recorded this album last year in 2023 and I am very thankful to everyone who recorded on this with me and helped make it what it is. I am especially grateful to have had my best friend Gus Thornton record with me one last time before his passing and that makes this album much more important to me on a personal level. I really hope to see alot of my friends, family, and fans alike at this show to help me celebrate the release of my brand-new, all-original album entitled, "Blues Cut Like Glass." Born in 1997, Matt started playing guitar at 11 and quickly became immersed in the blues, learning from legends like B.B. King and Robert Johnson. By 16, he was mentored by blues icon Big George Brock and became his lead guitarist, performing at top blues festivals across the country. With a career that includes sharing the stage with artists like Bobby Rush, Mud Morganfield, and Kingfish Ingram, Matt brings the raw, passionate energy of the blues to every performance.
