An Unusual Event After Hours at City

Louis, MO - Oct. 19, 2007 — ArtDimensions
and St. Louis City Hall are hosting an exciting event which will include
local restaurants and artists/musicians showcasing their artistic
genius for everyone to experience. This will be St. Louis City Hall’s
first time hosting the fusion of food, music, culture and art in one
night for a great cause!! The evening’s events will raise much
needed funds for ArtDimensions, a local 501(c) 3 non-profit organization
working to revitalize St. Louis through the arts. The group is raising
funds to help purchase a building for them to base their operations
out of (office, gallery, classrooms and artist studios). DONATIONS
at the door will be greatly appreciated (and are tax deductible!)
Some of the scheduled highlights for the event will include:
• The official release of St. Louis’ most exciting upcoming
magazine - appealing to all five senses, Taste StL Magazine, an ArtDimensions
publication brought to you by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Several
years ago, Taste StL Magazine began as ArtD Magazine with a desire
to inform, educate and excite readers about the art happening in St.
Louis. The new name, Taste StL Magazine, embodies everything the magazine
stands for - St. Louis and the senses it evokes, including the tastes,
sights, sounds and memories it offers.
• Restaurants featured at the Taste of St. Louis will serve
samples of their best dishes for all to enjoy, along with chef demonstrations
throughout the evening. Participating restaurants include: Mike Shannon’s,
Monarch and V’s Catering.
• An International Art Exhibit will be on display showcasing
works done by local artists while traveling in Italy with the ArtDimensions
International Exchange Program (Nov 2007).
• The graffiti wall created live in the ArtDimensions Village
at the Taste of St. Louis will be auctioned with proceeds benefiting
Art Dimensions.
• Select local artists chosen by Cbabi Bayoc, ArtDimensions
President, will hold a silent auction of their work to benefit Art
Dimensions.
• Live music including the reggae-funk band, Raggamuffin along
with guest speakers who will be featured throughout the night.
• Local artists will sell their creations in the Gift Market
(prices from $10 & up)– perfect time to shop for your holiday
gifts – while supporting our local artists!
• Street Dimensions, local break dancers, will amaze the crowd
with their moves.
