'2nd
Set' CD release at BB's |
One
of the hardest working Blues bands in town, certainly one of the
youngest, the Bottoms
Up Blues Gang recently released their 2nd CD, titled '2nd
Set'.
STLBlues was among the crowded room that turned out for this event.
Here's a quick glimpse at the BUBG doing what they do, to a full
house...even Beatle Bob made the show!
The Bottoms Up Blues Gang is St. Louis' Acoustic Blues Trio featuring
vocalist Kari Liston, guitarist Jeremy Segel-Moss and a gang of
outstanding St. Louis musicians.
The Bottoms Up Blues Gang play a unique blend of originals and
covers in the styles of Delta Blues, R & B, Soul, Jazz, and
Blues influenced Rock & Roll. Major influences include a wide
range of artists, including Muddy Waters, Bessie Smith, Jimmy
Reed, Louie Jordan, Ani DiFranco, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Dixon and
many more.
The BUBG are also heavily influenced by local artists such as;
Bennie Smith, Sharon Foehner, Brian Curran, Matt Murdick, Eric
McSpadden and the real sounds of St. Louis music that seem to
ooze out of every corner bar in the City.
They haven't been around that long, yet they followed their 1st
CD 'South Broadway
Blues' quickly with another studio session to produce this
newest effort.
