for Danny Beaver |
On Saturday, Aug 4th, 2007 a benefit will be held in the honor of
Danny Beaver at Cocktails in St. Louis County (formerly, Long Branch
Saloon) located at 10647 Lackland Road, St. Louis, MO 63114. Phone

On May 12, 2007 Danny was involved in a motor vehicle accident where
he sustained serious injuries. He is the father of two and supports
his wife who already receives disability for a back injury. He is
the sole financial provider in his household. Danny is not covered
for disability insurance through his employer. However, due to the
severity of his injuries he will be off work for six months to a year.
In the accident Danny received one fractured vertebra, nerve damage
in the right arm resulting in numbness in his hand, a crushed ankle
and a broken fibula. Surgery was required for the placement of a metal
plate to repair his fibula and ankle. He will be receiving therapy
for months to years.
Danny works for a local trucking company as a driver and is a member
of the St. Louis blues band, Blues Handle. The members of the band,
friends, and family are holding a benefit to help supplement his families’
dire financial status during his time of rehabilitation and recovery.
Blues Handle, along with the local Jimmy Buffet Tribute band, Phins,
will be donating their time and musical talent for the evening. During
the event a silent auction, raffles, and door prizes will help to
support the benefits success.
We are asking local businesses and organizations to donate tickets,
items, services, and supplies to assure the success of the evening.
We are in need of the above such items to help sponsor the silent
auction and raffles. The silent auction will be held from 2pm to 6pm.
The benefit will continue into the evening hours.
