Crossings Concerts presents Beatles Beyond Boundaries featuring guitarist
and vocalist Peter Mayer at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2006 in
the Roberts Orpheum Theater, formerly
the American Theater. This concert features a lineup of Nashville
and St. Louis musicians including a string quartet of St. Louis Symphony
musicians. The performance showcases new and original arrangements
that span classical, jazz and pop-rock centered around timeless Beatles
classics. The return of this show includes an all-new musical tribute
to John Lennon on the recent 25th anniversary of his death.
Musician, singer and composer Peter Mayer has steadily built a fervent
following across the country. Stepping outside his role as one of
Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefers to front his own band, Mayer has melded
a unique and eclectic writing style, a distinctive voice, and virtuoso
musicianship.
