St. recording artist Anthony Gomes recently brought his act to
Generations, combining his Blues sounds with his unique mix of
Blues, social commentary and Gospel!
Anthony
showcased his upcoming CD with the track "You're amazing",
a graceful Blues ballad that melded his delicate fretwork with
his powerful vocals, and just a touch of Gospel!
Although
Blues Revue magazine gave Anthony a scathing review, STLBlues
found his show to be an enjoyable evening of music, with Anthony
obviously enjoying his craft! And maybe we believe that a bad
review can discourage a talented, hardworking Bluesman from his
craft, and critics are all too often simply unhappy souls who
take thier subjective opinions much too seriously!
What happened to the "if you don't
have something nice to say'philosophy?
